The European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants (EFCNI) is the first pan-European organisation and network to represent the interests of preterm and newborn infants and their families. It brings together parents, healthcare experts from different disciplines, and scientists with the common goal of improving long-term health of preterm and newborn children. EFCNI's vision is to ensure the best start in life for every baby.
Aufgaben:
You are responsible for the maintenance and development of our key programme European Standards of Care for Newborn Health (ESCNH). This includes scientific monitoring of the implementation and regular lifecycle processes, responsibility for the development of a self-assessment tool and the organisation of (digital) workshops and Delphi panels with various stakeholders (primarily medical experts and patient representatives)
You assist the Executive Board in the strategic development of the ESCNH department
Representation of the patient's / parent's voice in an international and EU-funded research project. This includes an engagement with international stakeholders and/or development and dissemination of patient information documents (including tasks in the field of communication and dissemination)
Depending on your own expertise and the actual need, you may be appointed with other responsible tasks in other areas of the foundation's scientific work: e.g. conception and drafting of scientific publications, manuals or position papers for medical professionals
You participate and represent the foundation at international/national events and congresses and practical presentations
Qualifikationen:
Scientific background related to health (doctorate required), e.g. epidemiology, public health, health sciences, nutritional sciences, health management
Very good understanding of qualitative research (implementation science an advantage)
Several years (>3 years) of experience in managing complex, international projects and proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
Excellent methodological and analytical skills and the successful implementation of these in practice
High level of initiative, i.e. independent, structured and result-oriented way of working, as well as a high level of commitment and team spirit
Very good presentation and moderation skills geared towards a wide variety of target groups (e.g. medical field and patient representation)
Stylistically confident, experienced writing and editing of (e.g. scientific) texts in German and English. Fluency in English and German is therefore required. Other language skills are an advantage.
Social and intercultural competence and the ability to empathize with the situation of those affected
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
